Don't Mistake Evolution for Adaptation - It Happens A Lot

The below article discusses adaptation in action. Adaptation is the selection of certain traits driven by natural selection. It is based on existing genetic information, not the creation of new genetic information from mutations. It is also important to keep in mind that natural selection only removes genetic information from a population.
The article below uses the term "evolve" and "evolution" a number of times. And the fish population certainly changed because of adaptation, which is also called micro evolution. But this is not an example of macro evolution or the adding of new functional genetic information.
