Suffering From Depression? The Reason and Cure in This Article.
September 9, 2016
Yet another example of mutations causing problems and not creating enhancements or new genetic information as evolution teaches.
Here we find 15 different regions in the genome where mutations to genes can predispose a person to depression. As a person who may suffer from depression, it is frustrating to think that genetically it is just the way you are wired to feel this way. But it is important to understand WHY this has happened to you. It has happened because of mutations and mutations degrade and destroy our genetic programming. Every generation has more mutations than the last and so mutations are slowly building up in us. This means that past generates had a better genome. In fact, it shows that our genetic code was originally created perfect. What can explain this? Only one of two explanations fit - either we were created by aliens or by a supernatural force. I'm going with God!
And while this reality may not be a direct help in the here and now, remember that Christ said God will restore our programming so that we no longer have to suffer. Try and take comfort that your physical and mental problems will be corrected by the master programmer as long as you accept Christ's gift of grace. Also keep in mind that it was man who rejected God. The consequence was that God was forced to leave us in a decaying world. Much like when a friend or family member pushes you away. You are forced to back away and remove your presence until reconciliation can occur. It is exactly the same with God. Man pushed Him away, which unfortunately for us resulted in a decaying world, but we can reconcile with Him by asking. We can also be assured of full restoration to His original design in heaven.
