Sauropod Ball and Socket Joints - By Chance or Design?
July 21, 2016
The below article speaks to how the neck bones of the large sauropod dinosaurs were built from "distinctive ball-and-socket vertebrae in their neck that fit together to create strong yet flexible joints". They fit together in such a way that "each joint always pointed away from the center of the body". This type of vertebrae design allowed for "increased stability and made it much more difficult to dislocate the joint". The researcher states, "We found that this arrangement would have enabled sauropods to evolve longer and heavier necks and tails while avoiding catastrophic injury".
Of course no observable scientific evidence is cited. They simply take the fossils of a sauropod, and based on their religious belief, proclaim that evolution happened. Why don't they cite specific genes that could cause the vertebrae to be built in this unique way and then discuss what mutations would have had to occur in order to make his happen? I can tell you why. Because it would have required many genes and thousands of co-ordinated mutations to occur all at random, but yet build the complex genetic information that could build these bones. And this, according to mathematics and probability, is simply not possible.
The unique design of sauropod dinosaurs vertebrae is a design feature that allows for the stresses of the enormous weight of such a creature. A design created by God!
