Everyone, Even Healthy People, Have Degenerated Because of Mutations
August 11, 2017
The article linked to the picture below discusses a great piece of research. Essentially, the research effort scanned the genetic programming of 4,600 genes in 50 healthy adults. They discovered some 5 million genetic mutations. Based on our current knowledge, most mutations do not have any visible effect on our health. This doesn't mean they are good, it just means the effect is either none or too little to discern. The article states, "Of the 50 participants whose genomes were sequenced, 11 had alterations in at least one letter of DNA suspected to cause—usually rare—diseases, But only two exhibited clear symptoms". The article goes on to state, "The team also found that every sequenced patient carried at least one recessive mutation linked to a disease—a single copy of a mutant gene that could cause an illness if two copies are present. That knowledge can be used to make reproductive decisions—a partner may get tested to see if they have a matching mutation—and prompt family members to test themselves for carrier status".
The article goes on to reference a similar study currently in peer review and its findings are, "colleagues found that 12 out of 70 healthy adults, or 17%, unknowingly had one or more DNA mutations that increased the risk for genetic diseases".
Why is this research so important? Because it points to a very telling truth. It shows yet again that mutations, when they have an impact, are a very destructive force and that we all have disease causing mutations - even healthy people. The sobering reality is that each generation has about 70 to 100 more mutations when they are born than what their parents started off with when they were born. This is because of mutations in the sperm and egg cells as well as early embryonic mutations. This means that each generation starts with a genome that is more and more corrupt. Add in the mutations that occur during each cell division, and we have an ever increasing decaying genome. It is why we eventually die! We mutate our genetic programming to death. This shows the truth that past generations had less mutations and a higher quality genome. A genome that suffered less from disease and disorders. And in the beginning, the genome was created perfect, free from disease and disorders.
Finally this article is telling because there is no evidence of mutations creating any new genetic information. This means the faith of microbes to man evolution is simply a blind faith based on a fairy tale.
