Quality Control in Cell Division - A Hallmark of Design
May 1, 2017
What would happen if cells divided before the DNA (programming of life) was completely copied and separated into the new cell? This would result in cell death. In other words, if a mechanism didn't exist to ensure the DNA copy and separation process hadn't completed, life couldn't exist!
The below linked article states, "The researchers examined the role of a molecule called BubR1 in mitosis -- the process during which a cell copies its chromosomes and pulls them apart into two separate cells". It goes on to state, "Our study has found a 'safety catch' in the cell division machinery, which prevents cells from dividing before they have confirmed that their chromosomes have been successfully aligned in the cell". It is interesting they used the term "machinery" to describe the cell. This conveys design and complexity. How many machines do you know of that were not created by an intelligent designer?
The article also states, "The team focused in on a small part of BubR1 which has been conserved across evolution in all the kingdoms of life except bacteria". Here is where you see religious beliefs being pawned off as science. There is absolutely no evidence that mutations have ever created any new genetic information, much less the complex system controlling DNA during cell division discussed in the article. Yet, this statement assumes it happened and since the function was so important, the ancestors (including humans) of some early life all kept this functionality. So how did this supposed original life obtain such a complex safety feature for cell division? It is faith in random mutations to create very sophisticated programming and systems, which goes directly against the observable science that mutations actually destroy and degrade genetic information. Or it is faith in an intelligent designer. The answer is clear.
Tour the links in the "More" section of this site to learn more about why evolution is not true and the observable science points towards a perfect original creation by God.
