Mutations Cause Variety, But Never Create New Genetic Information! Making Microbes to Man Evolution FALSE.
April 11, 2017
Mutations can cause a great variety of traits and characteristics to appear in life, but those traits and characteristics are limited. In the below linked article, we see how mutations effect the behavior of the Hepatitis C Virus (HCV). Hep C viruses that have certain mutations are able to resist the treatments. The article states, "They found that while mutations in the binding site were not associated with resistance, other mutations in the surface proteins away from the binding site correlated with viruses that persisted despite antibody treatment". The article goes on to say, "These are the mutations we believe may allow the viruses to avoid being blocked by antibodies altogether".
We can see that mutations created a new beneficial trait for HCV. Some would say that it has evolved and they would be correct if you define "evolved" as changing existing genetic information to create a different behavior or trait. BUT, this is not microbes to man evolution. Microbes to man evolution requires random mutations to create new and functional genetic information. For example, new genetic information to create leg bones, eyes, or some other separate component. This type of evolution has never been observed and is strictly a faith based position that is contrary to observable science and fact.
Observable science only shows the changing of existing genetic information with the vast majority of these having a negative impact on an organism! They destroy and degrade genetic information. Again, random mutations have never been observed to create new genetic information. Observable science points to an originally created perfect genome that is in a state of slow deterioration.
