Sudden Cardiac Death in the Young - Mutations Can be the Cause
July 5, 2016
Another day, another scientific article showing how mutations destroy genetic information to cause death, disease and disorders.
The article states, "Testing found that one in four (27 percent) unexplained sudden cardiac deaths had a clinically relevant genetic mutation, despite these people having structurally normal hearts."
It goes on to say, "Making a clear genetic diagnosis in cases of unexplained sudden cardiac death in a young person has implications for surviving relatives," says Professor Semsarian. "Pinpointing the underlying cause can save the lives of others and bring some comfort to devastated families, especially when many of these deaths go unexplained."
While it is near impossible to find comfort when a loved one dies, we must also realize that the genetic information that runs our bodies is deteriorating because of mutations (not improving it as evolution teaches) and death, disease and disorders should be expected. What comforts me is that the declining genome points to a once perfect genome in the past that could have only been created by God. The Word of God says our genome will one day restored through Christ. Now THAT gives me comfort!
