As we progress with our knowledge of the genetic code, we will have the abilities to begin editing the code. While this can be used for good, it will also lead to some ethical issues. Here we have scientists going into a cow's genetic code in order to remove the horns. This prevents the cow from having to go through the painful process of horn removal.
Undoubtedly, this will lead to changing the genome of humans - not only to fix genetic disorders, but also the more superficial - such as designer babies.
The linked article below and the years of scientific research done in order to edit genes should be a testament to the complexity of the genome. It surely didn't come about through random processes, but was created by an intelligent designer. And today intelligent humans are reading and changing the information in the genes.
